The kids are back in school, the days are growing shorter, and the crisp air of fall is finally here, which means it’s almost time to drop the puck on the 2017-18 NHL season.

With the official end of summer and the arrival of fall it’s time to prepare for the emergence of winter’s short days and long nights. In most countries, that means getting lots of lots of Vitamin D on a daily basis. And while that’s generally good practice, up here in Canada winter’s arrival means one thing and one thing only: Ensuring we get lots and lots of healthy NHL hockey on a daily basis.

For those of us living in Canada, the first week of October can mean only one thing. Well…maybe two if you count stuffing your face full of turkey. The start of the NHL season is here once again. Finally, summer is over and we can get down to stuffing our lives full of hockey (See what I did there?).
